With a lifelong love of storytelling, Heather Summer channels her fascination with human emotion and the supernatural into every novel. As an author in Brixham, she brings a local authenticity to her writing, using Devon’s coast not just as a setting, but as a living, breathing presence that shapes her characters’ journeys. Her work is perfect for readers who enjoy emotional depth, atmospheric settings, and a touch of the eerie.

The beauty of this coastal town, and the amazing people who live here, continues to inspire me every day.

Berry Head Nature Reserve, with its wild cliffs and sea views, is one of my favourite places to reflect and write.

The local landscape, nature and wildlife often find their way into my stories and poems. Writing helps me capture and share the spirit of the place I’m proud to call home.
